when i want to open setup.exe there is an error on my screen "failed to enumerate DIRECT3D8 video adapters"

I have direct3D of course with directx 9.0b so what's the problem?

Try to install DirectX 9.0c (june 2010) http://filehippo.com/download_directx/
You can also try to install newest graphics card drivers.

i reinstalled sp3, where directx 9.0c was and dsj4 started working properly, thanks for advice!
