Instruction-Installation and configuration DSJ 4 1.6 - wine on linux.

Open a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + T) and consistently execute commands:

1.Sudo apt-get install winetricks
2.open winetricks
3.Do steps: "Select the Default wineprefix" → OK → "Install font A" → OK and install fonts: corefonts, fontfix
4.Install Windows library
"Select the Default wineprefix" → OK → "Install A Windows DLL or component"

Go to: "Select the Default wineprefix" → OK → "Change settings" and put a tick:

psm = enabled
rtlm = auto
sound = alsa
videomemorysize = RAM your video card. (You must enter the exact value).

By the way, that is a lot of DLL overrides, are all of those (e.g. the Visual basic and .NET ones) really needed?

Sorry, i don't understand fix this bug :/
but 80 % games run under my configuration and dsj 4, but not always without this bug.
i looking for a solution maybe in future Mjumper

Bug 6955 is apparently marked as fixed since Wine version 1.7.47: https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6955#c181.
I tried it quickly (on OS X with wineskin) but DSJ still looked the same as before (perhaps not surprisingly as the old patches never seemed to work either) . Maybe someone could try it on Linux just to be sure though. Anyway, just thought I'd mention it here.

I'm not sure if anyone cares anymore, but I found a way to make DSJ4 work without the bug. Apart from the patches that seem to be in mainline Wine already, also these two patches: https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=39057 (Patch to implement indexed vertex blending; Constants number increase for testing purposes) for Wine 1.9.7 are needed. If you don't know how to apply a patch then I guess there's not much I can do for you, maybe somebody will compile Wine with these patches for PlayOnLinux/PlayOnMac, that'd be one easy way to let everyone interested play it. I could upload my wine build for Arch Linux if somebody insists.

That's excellent news! Too bad I lost interest in DSJ4 and already bought a Windows computer... But still, I think some people will be quite happy about this.

DSJ4 v1.6.3 works properly on Wine without any graphical artifacts. Here are the instructions to get the game running on Linux:
